The Area

Bournemouth is one of the most beautiful sea-side towns in Great Britain and has something to please everyone. The lower and upper gardens are beautifully stocked all year round.

Christchurch is well worth a visit for its tranquil old world streets and wonderful selection of shops and boutiques. It provides a good contrast to Bournemoth and Poole's hustle and bustle and has some lovely tea and coffee houses as well as rural and local interest museums to visit.

The river Stour flows through Christchurch. There are many good pubs and restaurants along the banks as well as boat trips and fishing. The old Iford Bridge pictured above is just one example of the many wonderful sights you can see along the Stour's banks.

The river front and marina at Christchurch are beautiful to look at any time of the year and make a lovely place to sit and relax and take in the surroundings. Boat and sea excursions can be taken along with sea fishing trips. The quaint cottages that line the tiny streets are a reminder of what life used to be like and help to make Christchurch a very popular place to visit.

The Church dominates the landscape in Christchurch with its cobbled approach streets and beautiful churchyard and is a popular meeting place . The shops around its perimeter offer a vast range of goods , many of them quite unique , which makes this a very good place to shop for those less usual gifts and items.
Local shows and events happen throughout the summer so there is always something to see and do for all the family. Trekking is readily available whatever your previous riding experience and is a wonderful way to explore the forest. Dogs are welcome as long a s well behaved.
